LMC Families: Limited monday In-Person learning Seats Now Available; Respond by This sunday March 14

LMC Parents/Students:

The Literary Media and Communications (LMC) Department will be inviting Freshmen and Sophomores to attend in-person arts block on Mondays. Due to social distancing rules, we have a hard cap of only 24 students. We are in the process of gauging interest, so if you and your LMC student are interested, please let us know by e-mailing Mr. Shom Shamapande.

Our goal as an educational institution is to make students and parents feel as comfortable as possible. As such, we have implemented three noteworthy safeguards:

  1. Duke Ellington School of the Arts will provide an opportunity for potentially asymptomatic students to get tested on Tuesdays and Thursdays (between 11:00 AM-2:00 PM)

  2. Duke Ellington School of the Arts will be having rapid COVID-19 tests for any student that shows any symptoms of the disease (This is only for students attending in-person learning).

  3. All teachers that will be participating have been vaccinated. All students and teachers will have to adhere to the highest safety standards while in the building.

Students must submit consent forms (below) and let us know if they will be joining in-person learning by Sunday evening, March 14, so we can plan for the students who will be joining us.

Thank You,

Mr. Shom Shamapande
